What is a Contour Tourniquet Cuff?

The Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuff and Matching Limb Protection Sleeve System was developed because people differ so much in the shape of their extremities. The Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuff System allows most extremities to be fitted with just four cuff styles.

All Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs feature contoured shape and pivoting VelcroTM fasteners which can be used to adjust cuff shape to closely match the shape of most adult limbs. Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs are particularly useful for the tapered (conical) thighs and arms of many muscular and obese patients, and for foot and ankle surgery of most adults.

All Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs also feature an extra Velcro patch to help achieve a snug application.

The enhanced fit of these wider cuffs provides a clean, bloodless surgical field at lower pressures, so surgical procedures can be completed as efficiently and expediently as possible. Because the Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs fit the extremities so well, occlusion of arterial bloodflow can be achieved with pressures as low as 200 mmHg for the single bladder style and 250 mmHg for the dual bladder style.

Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs can be used to achieve occlusion of arterial bloodflow at even lower pressures - near the ideal Minimum Effective Pressure for each patient - using techniques described in the medical literature that are based on measuring the Limb Occlusion Pressure of individual patients.

To safely achieve and maintain occlusion of arterial bloodflow at low pressures, Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs are specifically designed for use with Zimmer's A.T.S.® 3000, A.T.S.® 2000 and A.T.S.® 750 Automatic Tourniquet Systems, as well as with Zimmer's older A.T.S.® 1500 and A.T.S.® 500 Automatic Tourniquet Systems*.

Delfi Contour Tourniquet Cuffs are wider than standard tourniquet cuffs (5.5 vs. 4.0 inches or 14 vs. 10 cm) in accordance with the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses' guidelines which recommend using as wide a cuff as possible**.

	Contour Thigh Cuff Fits most adult thighs, particularly tapered (conical) thighs. Limb circumference from 12 to 30 in. (30 to 77 cm).

	Contour Arm Cuff Fits most adult arms, particularly muscular or obese upper arms from 9 to 21 in. (23 to 53 cm) in circumference. Available with dual bladders for Bier block procedures.

Top	Contour Lower Leg Cuff Fits most adult lower legs. Designed to fit above the ankle on the lower portion of the calf to maximize surgical access to the foot and ankle. Limb circumference from 9 to 17 in. (23-43 cm).

• Adjustable Swivel Straps - Strap connectors' swivel design allows quick repositioning of straps for easy adjustment to varying limb shapes.
• Easy Snap-On Hose Connectors - Hose connectors attach easily to cuff ports, snapping securely into place. Hoses can be quickly disconnected when lock is released.
• Leak-Resistant Ports - O-ring hose connectors reduce leaks and accidental disconnections.
• Thinner Cuff Design - Cuffs are thinner, lighter weight and more pliable than most tourniquet cuffs, reducing excess bulk to facilitate wrapping.
• Exclusive Security Anchors - Security anchors, at specific intervals along cuff edges allow even cuff inflation and maintain a flat surface against skin to help prevent cuff migration.
• Extra-Wide Cuff Design - Because these cuffs are 1.5 in. (4 cm) wider than other tourniquet cuffs, they cover a greater tissue area. Less pressure is required to achieve hemostasis and the risk of nerve injury is substantially reduced.

Available in a dual-port configuration with positive locking connectors to be compatible with Zimmer A.T.S.® 3000 and A.T.S.® 2000 Automatic Tourniquet Systems*.
